Thank you for using MyJourney - Guided Journaling. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information our app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
No Cloud Storage:
We want to be absolutely clear: MyJourney is a private, local-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers. All of your journal entries, including your location data, photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, and waypoints, are stored locally on your device only.Developer Access:
The developer of MyJourney has no access to your personal information or the content of your journeys. We cannot view, access, or retrieve any data you create with the app.Location Data:
The app requires access to your device's location services to record your position on a map for your journeys. This location data is used exclusively to generate the GPX-routed map and is stored locally on your device as part of your journey file. It is never transmitted to us.Media and Files:
The app requests access to your device's camera, microphone, and photo library to allow you to add pictures, videos, and voice notes to your journeys. This media is also stored locally on your device and is not collected or accessed by the developer.User-Initiated Sharing:
The app includes a feature to share your journeys with friends and family. This sharing is 100% user-initiated. You control what you share and with whom. When you share a journey, the app exports a GPX or JSON file from your device. This file is then sent directly to your chosen recipient via standard sharing methods (e.g., email, messaging apps). We are not involved in this process and do not see the data you are sharing.Third-Party Services:
MyJourney does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.Since all of your data is stored on your device, its security is as robust as your device's security measures. We encourage you to use device passwords, biometrics (Face ID/Touch ID), and other security features to protect your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and through an in-app notice. Your continued use of the app after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.

Welcome to MyJourney - Guided Journaling ("the App"), a mobile application provided by Molecules in Action ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
Purpose:
The App is provided for your personal, non-commercial use to create and manage personal journals of your journeys and life events.User-Generated Content:
You are solely responsible for all content you create with the App, including but not limited to photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, and location data ("User Content"). You warrant that you have all necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.License to You:
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose.User Data:
All User Content is stored locally on your device. We do not collect or store any of your data on our servers. You are responsible for backing up your data and for the security of your device.Data Sharing:
You are solely responsible for the sharing of your User Content (via GPX, JSON, or any other file format) with others. We are not liable for the privacy or security of data once it has been shared outside of the App. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.The App, including its user interface, design, and software code, is the exclusive property of Molecules in Action and is protected by intellectual property laws. You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the App. You retain all rights to your User Content. By creating content with the App, you grant us a limited license to use and display your content *within the App for the sole purpose of providing the service to you*.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties. We do not guarantee that the App will be free of errors or that it will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data.
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App or its functionality. You must not use the App to harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
